Canadian cryptocurrency exchange BitBuy has made a quiet move by relisting XRP trading on its platform, following in the footsteps of Binance. The decision was brought to light by XRP community member Mason Versluis, who noticed an update in BitBuy’s crypto assets statement, indicating the inclusion of XRP trading.

BitBuy originally introduced XRP trading back in March 2019. However, in January 2022, the exchange delisted the coin due to legal actions faced by Ripple from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Compliance with Canadian regulations was cited as the primary reason behind the delisting.

Speculation has now emerged that BitBuy’s relisting of XRP may suggest insider knowledge of an upcoming verdict in the ongoing Ripple lawsuit. Both attorney John Deaton and Ripple’s Chief Technology Officer, David Schwartz, have addressed the public, acknowledging the possibility of delays and the expectation of a decision in September.

Another Canadian exchange, Newton, also relisted XRP in November 2022. However, the attention of the XRP community remains focused on Coinbase, the prominent American exchange that has faced numerous appeals to relist XRP.

Despite sharing a similar stance with Deaton on the SEC case, Coinbase has yet to respond positively to these requests. Even if the verdict favors Ripple, Coinbase’s Chief Legal Officer, Paul Grewal, has stated that the exchange will conduct an investigation before considering the relisting of XRP.

Despite the challenges encountered, the core functionality of the TipBot remains intact. Forex Cadet, the individual behind the TipBot service, has requested users to exercise patience as the service stabilizes itself.

Acknowledging the inconveniences faced by users during the temporary disruption of the TipBot, Forex Cadet promptly issued an apology.

Before resuming services, Forex Cadet informed users about the temporary suspension of the TipBot, explaining the impact of Twitter’s policy revisions on the tool’s operation. The downtime resulted in the temporary halt of tip registrations and transactions, disabling the core tipping functionality.

Cryptocurrency exchange: Conclusion
BitBuy’s decision to relist XRP trading is a significant development for the XRP community, signaling a growing optimism regarding the Ripple lawsuit. As more platforms resume XRP trading, attention remains on Coinbase, where users and supporters hope for a favorable response to their requests. Additionally, despite the challenges faced, the TipBot service continues to make enhancements to comply with platform regulations and provide uninterrupted tipping functionality to its users.
